Williamsons Solicitors are delighted to be involved and supporting a group of year 8 pupils from Maiden Beech Academy in Crewkerne.
They have been selected as finalists in the National Science and Engineering Competition at The Big Bang UK Young Scientists and Engineers Fair 2017 at the NEC, Birmingham from 14 – 16 March 2017.
The National Science and Engineering Competition is open to all 11-18 year olds living in the UK and in full-time education, and rewards students who have achieved excellence in a science, technology, engineering or maths project.
Reaching the national finals of such a prestigious competition is an incredible achievement, and we are happy to help the children in being able to attend The Big Bang Fair to showcase their project which involves looking at the best way to stop snails from eating garden plants and crops but without harming the snails.
Michael Williamson says, “We’re very happy to be sponsors again for what has become a profile event in which our local kids have an enviable track record. We shall have everything crossed for them next month!”
We wish the children the best of luck in March!
